Carrying the Weight of Expectations in a Fast-Paced World

We all discuss and support the social problems faced by women in daily life such as education, domestic and workplace abuse, gender-based discrimination, etc. However, no one is keen to observe and discuss the societal pressure faced by men in their routine life. Even society doesn’t consider the issues of men as social problems.

Such an avoidance gives rise to a few critical questions in the socially aware minds ;

Whether men are harsh and aggressive by birth or the societal pressures (which may be referred to as nurture) push them into an aggressive nature?

Why men are not allowed to express their emotions like women?

Whether they are dominating in reality or just considered as a dominating group?

If Society is patriarchal then why men are depressed and commit suicide?

Do they also face gender discrimination?

Men are not aggressive or rude by birth or by nature these harsh personality of men is the reflection of society because society teaches men that they must have a strong control on their emotions, have no right to express their emotions in front of people, keep their feelings in your heart means they can’t cry in front of people’s in any situation or if they can then they are compared with the term “Man up” which is usually used when a man tries to express his emotions or become emotional. This means that if the men become emotional regarding Some situations so society abuses and taunts them badly. For example you see in different cultures, when a female child cry so the parents would support them and handle them politely but when a male child cries the parents or elder’s tell them don’t cry you are a man and man should be strong like an IRON.

These are the cultural violence on men that our society did in daily life span.

If you are talking about the Females rights that are violated by men So do you think why this happening? Do you think male have such power to violates the rights of a female? So if not Then wherefrom this power of violation comes?

I think a woman violates her rights by itself Because only a woman gives birth to man and nurtures him so I think in which shape they nurture them he would be like that may be good or bad it depends on their nurture. So I think Females need to understand the men nature rather than judge them. And try to build a positive and polite attitude in their personality like they build politeness and calmness in theirs daughter’s personality

People say that men are dominating and it’s a patriarchy in which domains they says that _The most affected part of your Society are men mostly shaheed on borders are men In war mostly casualties are of men, most street vendors are men, most street beggars is men, most depressed patients are men…

In 2019 Cambridge University Press, research on the suicidal rate and mentioned that the suicide rate of males was 3.7 times higher than Females and the reason behind the suffering from psychological violence due to societal pressure. Also, the men responsibility start from a teenage like socioeconomic pressure, responsibilities of family, Career pressure If they do not get a good job so how they feed their family is pressure on them.

Societal Pressure: The Silent Struggles Men Face, Hidden in Plain Sight

Most people still see gender issues as women’s issues, even though the strict definition of gender encompasses male, female, and other gender identities. men also face gender-specific issues such as lower life expectancy, bad health, lower education levels, and rigid gender norms. Also, Adverts for white-collar jobs were more likely to specify feminine traits (and so favor female candidates) in both female-dominated and male-dominated jobs. Thus in this criteria the men face gender discrimination.

To sum up all these realities I suggest that we need to focus on both men and Women’s rights instead of focusing on One’s because they both are like the Feathers of bird so we need to maintain the balance for the better fly. Where you talk about the burdens on females same as talk and arise the issue of responsibility burden on men. men are not the cruel part of our society it’s like the pillars of the society who supports us secure us, try to understand them, and listen to their problems. Let the quality man you’ve been created to be out; the world is world incomplete without him.

To have done no man a wrong . . . to walk and live, unseduced, within arm’s length of what is not your own, with nothing between your desire and its gratification but the invisible law of rectitude — this is to be a man.” –Horace Mann.
